Contest News "Make it Rain"

OnMarch 8, 2011Rain Wedding & Event Planning celebrated our first year in business.
To our brides, please accept our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation for your patronage.  We have made many new friends and reestablished contact with many old friends in our first year.  The results of our first year in business far exceeded our goals and expectations for the first year. THANK YOU.  Without you our loyal and new clients, it would not have been possible.

Adult only reception? What about your guest with children?

Adult only reception??

Have you thought about your guest with children? Or, do you as a couple have children of your own? What to do with the kids???
This past weekend we got the honor of meeting up with Trish Davis owner of Elegant Event Sitters, Inc. while she was in town working for Army National Guard.
When we arrived at the Hilton in Beachwood we were not sure what to expect. We were shown the way to the "child care area" were the tables were all set with different toys and games for the kids to play with, the children were with their parents for the lunch break.

Happy Valentine's Day

We put together some of our favorite quotes of love for all times. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do (and guys...feel free to use some of these on your women.....we know they will love them too, and love you even more for taking the time to think of them today)
Happy Valentine's Day everyone
From,
Meredith & Becky

What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined... to strengthen each other... to be at one with each other in silent unspeakable memories.

The 5 Most Common Wedding Guest Complaints

You’re getting married and your ultimate goal is to make your wedding day 100% perfect. The last thing you want is for your friends and family to have a terrible time and spend the next 50 years whispering about the things that should have been done differently.   Most people have attended at least one wedding that was really bad. By knowing the common complaints, you can ensure that your wedding is a beautiful experience for you and your guests.

 1. Not Knowing Where to Go  One of the most common complaints of wedding guests is being unsure of where to go or what to do.

Choosing A Reception Venue

This past week Rain met Donna Berns.  She is the chef at Chenoweth Country Club and Banquet Center located at 3087 Chenoweth Rd., Akron, Oh 44312. She also handles their banquet sales.
Donna wrote about decisions that come with choosing the right reception hall for your wedding. She hits on all the key points for our couples to consider when they are scouting out the perfect location for their dream day...

Now that the biggest decision has been made, saying “YES”. There come a lot of tough decisions.

Make Your Marriage Last a Life Time

The topic that is hard to talk about...
Marriage and Pre-Marital Counseling.
It is important to remember that the word “counseling” can sometimes be misleading. Premarital counseling is not a form of therapy. Premarital counseling is educational and will help couples learn the skills they will need to support them in having a happy, healthyand lasting marriage.
Premarital counseling will help a couple to identify and communicate about their fears, desires, beliefs, values, dreams, needs, and other issues and baggage that was previously avoided or denied, never discussed before.

Congratulations! You're Engaged! Now What???

Congratulations! You're Engaged!

Now what????

1. Share the good news
Your parents-and any children you may have from a previous union-should hear the news first. Then comes other relatives and close friends. Whether you do it in person or over the phone, do it yourself. Those closest to you will no doubt be hurt to hear the news second hand. Never announce an engagement until a former union has been dissolved, whether by divorce or annulment.

2. Meet the parents
Your engagement should not come as a shock to your parents.
